For your comfort and convenience, use the NEW Western Union money transfer service by phone without having to go to one of the Unicâmbio branches.

The sending process is done as if you were in one of the Unicâmbio branches, but in the comfort of your home!

HOW CAN I MAKE A MONEY TRANSFER?

ATM REFERENCE OPTION

  • Contact Unicâmbio and make the request through the number 800 50 90 99;
  • The operator receives the request and will provide all the necessary information for processing your transfer. ALL THE NECESSARY data for THE payment will also be sent by SMS;
  • Make the payment of the money transfer:
  • Through ATM Reference, which you can make at any ATM in the ATM Network or USING YOUR home banking SERVICE
  • You must send the proof of payment to remessas@unicambio.pt;
  • You must indicate your name and bank details in the e-mail;
  • Receive from Unicâmbio the confirmation by SMS and/or email.
The sending process is done as if you were in one of the Unicâmbio branches, with all the safety and comfort of your home!

This option allows you to pay your money transfer through an ATM reference, in the same way you pay for electricity, water and other services. The payment data is sent to your mobile phone via SMS.

At the first contact you should consult the operator on how and if you need to send proof of bank account ownership, i.e. a proof of IBAN. This may be a bank statement, or correspondence from your bank (less than 3 months old), which contains your name and IBAN, or a proof of IBAN issued through your home banking SERVICE. All you need to do is send it once on the first transaction you make on this channel.

You can pay through your home banking or at any ATM in the Multibanco Network.

BANK TRANSFER OPTION

  • Make the transfer payment, by bank transfer to the IBAN of Unicâmbio:
    • Number: IBAN PT50.0033.0000.45443365877.05
  • You must send the proof of transfer to the remessas@unicambio.pt
  • Indicate in the e-mail your name and bank details
  • Contact Unicâmbio and make the request through the number 800 50 90 99
  • The operator receives the request and will provide all the necessary information for processing of his transfer
  • To receive from Unicâmbio, the confirmation of the transfer by SMS and/or email.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR THE MONEY TO REACH ITS DESTINATION?

The completion of the operation depends on the option chosen for the payment of the order:

ATM REFERENCE OPTION




  • If payment is made by 5 p.m., the transfer process will be completed on the same business day
  • If payment is made after 5 p.m., the transfer process will be completed on the following working day
IMPORTANT NOTE: In processing Western Union Service transactions, only payments, via ATM reference, made by the customer himself or duly identified will be considered. The customer must be an account holder.

BANK TRANSFER OPTION



 
  • If the transfer of the value is completed by 3 p.m., the transfer process will be completed on the following working day
  • If the transfer of the value is completed after 3pm, the transfer process will be completed after 2 working days
IMPORTANT NOTE: When processing Western Union Service transactions, only bank transfers made by the customer himself or duly identified will be considered. The customer must be an account holder.

WHAT IMPORTANT FEATURES SHOULD I KNOW?

  • The phone money transfer service is available for customers who are already registered with Unicâmbio. If you are not registered yet, please go to a branch of Unicâmbio Network.
  • Consult the schedules and shops we have at your disposal
  • The processing of the transaction is subject to the Western Union transfer service conditions. You should consult the terms and conditions.
  • The responsibility of Unicâmbio is to process the sending or payment transaction, after receiving the amounts to be sent and in accordance with the rules applicable to the Western Union service.
  • In the processing of Western Union Service transactions, only bank transfers or payments, via ATM reference, made by the customer himself duly identified will be considered. The customer must be an account holder.
  • In order to take advantage of this new channel, the customer must have sent proof of bank account ownership, i.e., a proof of IBAN. These can be a bank statement, or correspondence from your bank (less than 3 months old), which includes your name and IBAN, or a proof of IBAN issued through your home banking. Just send it once.
  • The exchange rates applied to your Western Union transfer are those in effect at the time of processing the transaction. The exchange rate applied at the time of sending will be transmitted to you when confirming the transfer by SMS or email. The exchange rate of the amount receivable at destination, where applicable, will vary according to the rates in force in the respective country of destination at the time of withdrawal.
  • The amount you must transfer or pay by bank reference will be the amount, in euros, that you wish to send and applicable fees for the Western Union service. The approximate counter value, to be received at the destination will be transmitted to you in the confirmation of the transfer by SMS or e-mail.
